The chances are good you know or love someone who has been touched by breast cancer. Many times, we struggle with how to help those who have fought or are fighting this disease. Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air has a great way for you to “check all the boxes” in the fight against this dreaded disease. It’s called the Catch Me In Pink™ campaign, and we will be taking part during the entire month of October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
You’ve seen and heard about pink ribbons, well we’re going one step further. All month long our employees will be wearing pink shirts. When you spot one of us, just take an #usie with the employee (only the two of you can be in the photo). One of you will post the photo on Facebook and tag Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air (or we can post it for you) with the hashtag #CatchMeInPink. Every time someone posts a qualifying photo, we will make a donation to the Joy To Life Foundation.
It’s a great organization dedicated to providing free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings. The foundation was started in 2001 and has provided more than 15,000 mammograms to women who, for various reasons, might not have been able to get them otherwise. What a great organization, and a wonderful way to increase breast cancer awareness.
We know you don’t have time to waste driving around looking for our employees, but you will see them out and about because they are your neighbors and live in your community.
