Our world is going pink, and it’s your chance to help Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air in the fight against breast cancer. All you have to do is catch us wearing our pink shirts for the second year in a row. It’s all because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month to increase awareness about, and prevent this dreaded disease. As well as help those who already have it get the treatment they need.
With our wives, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in our thoughts, we are proud to announce our participation in the Catch Me In PinkTM campaign. During October 2017, we will be raising money to benefit the Joy to Life Foundation.
If you’re not familiar with Catch Me In Pink™, here is how it works. Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air employees will be wearing the official Catch Me In PinkTM shirts. When you see them take a picture, an “USIE”, of you and the Dixie team member (just the 2 of you). Use the #CatchMeInPink hashtag when posting to our Facebook page. Be sure to tag yourself for proper entry. It’s a fun campaign about a serious subject. Check out the video from last year’s event.
The campaign is a win-win situation for everyone. For every Catch Me In PinkTM pic you post on Facebook, Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air makes a $5 contribution to the Joy to Life Foundation. By posting a photo, you can also win a $25 Visa® gift card. Each photo entry will be automatically entered in four weekly drawings, so the quicker you have your photo entered, the better chance you have to win one of the weekly prizes. There will also be a Grand Prize given away for a trip to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands!
We treasure the relationship we have with the Joy to Life Foundation and the good work we’ve been able to help them accomplish. The organization’s goal is to provide free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings for women who otherwise might not be able to get these life-saving services. Since being founded in 2001, the foundation has provided more than 15,000 mammograms resulting in hundreds of women being treated successfully.
So, get ready! Help Dixie Electric, Plumbing & Air support the fight against breast cancer by catching us in pink during the month of October 2017. A great way to get your photo with one of our team members is by scheduling your electric, plumbing and/or heating system tune-up. Winter is just around the corner, and you need to make sure your home is ready for the holidays. Remember our motto, “Call Dixie and it’s done!”
